Solar Logic has developed other pieces of software that it makes available as add-ons. These programs operate from within the BERS Pro environment.
RGap
R Gap calculates the R value of air gaps of varying thickness, surface emittance and tilt.
The algorithms used are based on the work of Robinson, Powlich and Dill, (ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals).
The "standard Australian conditions" assumed are an average temperature gradient of 5°C and an average cavity temperature of 23°C.
Sun Position
Solar Position calculates solar time, altitude, azimuth and declination.
Simple R and C value
The R value and thermal capacitance can be calculated for all materials in the BERS/CSIRO database.
Compound R Values
A single equivalent R Value can be determined from two materials of different types next to a third material type.
Examples are "Waffle pod" concrete floors or ceilings that are insulated except around down lights. WafflePod.pdf
